Elaine Terry

Elaine Terry – Spiritual Counsellor

Dip W.L. Management, STFR Accredited, NLP Practioner

Spiritual counselling uses all the counselling techniques from humanistic theories combined with some NLP work, relaxation, angel therapy, healing, crystals and any psychic intervention if appropriate to help you to find a way to deal with your issues using all possible methods available.

It is a peaceful and relaxing way for you to talk about and resolve your issues whilst still using the counselling techniques proven to work over many years.

Over the last ten years society has become much more spiritually aware and beliefs in alternative healing, spiritual intervention and the work of mediums had increased.  Counselling too has become much more widely accepted, people are now more open to help and advice from others with some outstanding results.

I started my career as a counsellor some time ago, volunteering  to counsel  children in trouble and danger .I  started to hear from children had issues like I did as a child, it took sometime but I realised I needed help just like they did. I started to realise that my upbringing was not like everyone else’s, the bullying did hurt, my confidence was an act and my relationships were hurting me.

I found a counsellor who helped me to face the issues I had helped so many children with.  I started an incredible journey that was not always easy but it changed my life and made me sure that I wanted to be a counsellor.  I studied counselling, colour therapy and angel therapy and started to help people who came to me. I then gave up the corporate rat race to concentrate on working with people with all kinds of issues

I have always had some spiritual abilities but spent a long time trying to explain them away and working in roles that did not encourage their development.  They started as a child when I would ‘sense’ a favourite aunt around me and was able to smell her favourite perfume even though she had passed sometime before. For years I could smell scents other people could not and see auras.  A few years ago I started a journey with angels and am developing my skills further, but I have a talent for healing. I am no longer trying to hide those abilities and am working with other like minded people to help others.

So it seemed logical to combine both, to provide a service for clients who have any interest in using spiritual powers to empower themselves to make a change for the better.  It also ensures that change follows the tried and trusted methods used by humanistic counselling.

Prices start from £25.00 and counselling can be provided without any spiritual techniques.

Rachel Manoiret – Counsellor

Hello and welcome.

I am Rachel Manoiret. I am a counsellor based in Nottingham City Centre.

I offer a weekly individual and couples counselling service. I have over 10 years experience in counselling and psychotherapy, in a variety of different settings including private, schools and colleges. I believe that everyone is unique and that we all have the ability and potential to think, learn, grow and change their life for the better.

My aim is to support you in developing self awareness and developing an understanding of others so that you can make positive changes to improve your life and relationships.

Counselling is a private and confidential process between client and counsellor.

Seeing a counsellor gives you the opportunity to take time and space to talk through any difficulties, or issues you be experiencing in your life and enabling you to explore ways to make the changes you want.

I provide counselling and psychotherapy in a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment to help people suffering with depression, anxiety, trauma, panic, relationship difficulties and communication problems but there are many other issues that people bring to counselling to help them resolve, for example:

  • Depression, feelings of despair, hopelessness and suicidal thoughts.
  • Issues around bereavement, loss, illness, redundancy and other major life changes.
  • Repeating patterns of limiting or compulsive behaviours or thoughts.
  • Bullying or abuse, physical or emotional or sexual, past or present.
  • Low self-esteem, lack of confidence or insecurities.
  • Anger, aggression, personal or work-related stress.
  • Divorce, or relationship or communication difficulties.
  • Self-harm - unresolved hurt, anger, shame or fear.
  • Anxiety, agitation or panic
  • Old hurts or baggage from the past.
  • Family Issues
  • Childhood issues - abuse or trauma.
  • Post traumatic stress or distressing memories.
  • (SAD) - Seasonal Affective Disorder.
  • Eating disorders, over-eating, anorexia, or bulimia

I understand if you are not able to identify what your problem may be, or you may not be clear about your reasons for beginning counselling. Many people experience a general sense of unhappiness, dissatisfaction or anxiety and use counselling as a way to find out.

Counselling sessions are arranged by pre-booked appointments.

The first step to book an appointment with me involves an initial telephone conversation, which is a brief confidential consultation: free of charge.

If you would like to book an appointment, or would like more information to discuss your needs about how I can help, you are welcome to phone 07854452424, or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

I offer morning, afternoon and early evening appointments depending on day and availability at the time. I charge £25.00 - £40.00 per hour (cash payment only) for individual counselling. I usually charge £40.00 but I am willing to offer lower rates for students and or people that are on low incomes or financial difficulties, this can be negotiated during our initial consultation.

I follow the code of ethical practice of the Institute Of Transactional Analysis (ITA) and I am registered with (UKCP), the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy of which I am a member. I work with regular supervision. I am currently a member of the (ITA) and (UKCP) and am studying a MSc in Clinical Psychotherapy in Transactional Analysis.

I am located on Park Row, close to The Nottingham Playhouse, and Nottingham Castle. There is on-street parking available, alternatively, I am very close to the Market Square for the tram and bus services.

I will look forward to hearing from you and will respond as soon as I can.
